If you're really into the world of digital photography sure you've heard about the HDR technique.
This technique involves taking three shots at different exposure, one overexposed (+1 or +2), another right (0) and a dark (-1 or -2). After bind and so is an image with all the highlights to perfection, while the image looks extremely real.
